Welcome to the Youth for Biodiversity: Hackathon! This virtual event is dedicated to promoting biodiversity and addressing environmental justice issues worldwide.
Categories:
- Hackathon: Build and showcase your programs.
- Ideathon: Pitch your innovative ideas.
Organized on the occasion of the "International Day for Biological Diversity," our goal is to encourage creative thinking that protects and restores biodiversity while promoting environmental justice.
You can either register as an idividual or form teams and collaborate with fellow high school students to find solutions.
Whether you have coding experience or not, your unique skills are valuable.
If coding isn't your forte, you can submit to the ideathon category wherein you come up with an innovative solution idea.
Schedule:
- Hackathon starts on 20th May at 9:00 AM (EDT) with the opening ceremony.
- Submissions open on 21st May at 9:00 AM (EDT) and close on 25th May 2023 at the same time.
Judging will take place by 26th May, followed by the closing and awards ceremony.
Teams: Each participant should register separately. Only one team member submits the project. You can add your team members while submitting. Further details will be shared soon.

Requirements
What to Submit
- A short pitch video no longer than five minutes that details your solution and includes a demo of how it works.
- A link to your source code and any other relavent files.
